HOW TO SELL ART AT AUCTION
Every written auction proposal presented by Deutscher and Hackett is transparent, unique and considered. Works of art are carefully researched and our recommended auction estimates take into account prices paid for comparable material at auction over past recent years. In the case of higher value works we typically include information regarding Deutscher and Hackett’s past performance with each of these artists.
Consideration is given to the auction timing and venue location as well as the presentation of each item in the printed catalogue. Our marketing strategy is clearly explained together with selling commission rates and associated costs. All logistical aspects are taken into consideration with transport, insurance and storage needs addressed.
