Catalogue text

This cloth depicts scenes from theĀ Arjunawiwaha, beginning with the arrival of Supraba at the palaceof the demon Niwatakawaca with instructions to seduce him. The style of this painting suggests it was produced in a village away from the centre of classical painting in Kamasan.
