A copy of the Bellas Gallery exhibition catalogue states: 'Muumu is a swamp North West of Kintore, a Pintupi settlement about 20km from the Western Australian border where mungilpa, a bush food is plentiful. The circles in the painting indicate the camps of the men involved in the ceremony.'
