Catalogue text

This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists, Alice Springs, which reads in part: 'This painting depicts designs associated with Yaltintja, soakage site, north west of Jupiter Well. In mythological times a large group of Tingari Men camped at this site with young boys before travelling to Lake Mackay. The painting depicts the collision of the Lightning and Snake Dreamings, whereby they joined up and followed the group instructing the young boys along the way.'
